How does each material change the product?

Tritan and premium copolyester: the practical volume choice

A clear copolyester cup works well when customers want to see the blend but do not want to carry glass. It also gives brands more freedom with colors, surface texture and larger capacities. Eastman describes Tritan as a tough, BPA-free copolyester with impact, stain and odor resistance. Buyers should still request the exact resin grade and model-specific food-contact documentation rather than accept a general “BPA-free” claim.

This route usually makes the most sense for gym, commute and high-volume retail programs. The trade-off is perception: some customers still prefer glass or metal, even when a premium plastic performs better for portability.

Borosilicate glass: premium feel with more logistics work

Glass looks clean, feels substantial and lets customers watch the texture change while blending. That makes it easy to merchandise for wellness, office and premium home-use audiences.

The catch is weight and breakage control. A buyer should review the complete pack, not only the cup: inner support, gift box, master carton and drop-test plan all matter. Glass can be a strong product story, but weak packaging can turn that story into returns.

Stainless steel: durable, distinctive and less transparent

Stainless steel suits a tougher or more premium-looking range. Double-wall construction can also support an insulated-drinkware story. The Nickel Institute notes that 304 and 316 stainless steels are widely used in food-contact equipment because of their corrosion resistance and cleanability.

The obvious limitation is visibility. Customers cannot watch the blend, so the lid, timer and operating instructions need to make filling and use easy. Finish quality also matters: poor polishing, visible seams or inconsistent coating can quickly weaken the premium effect.
